The only co-op inside the bfg edition's box comes from the xbla versions of doom 1 and doom 2. i made sure to clear this up directly with id's tim willits at pax this past weekend.. There never has been full campaign co-op for doom 3, the xbox version had a separate co-op campaign (bfg is a port of the pc version which didn't have the co-op) but can't be played online due to xbox servers being shut down. you can however play the classic doom games online co-op.. I have bought doom 3 bfg edition, which includes the ultimate doom and doom 2, in addition to the expansion packs for doom 3. i know the original incarnations and many of the source ports of doom and doom 2 supported multiplayer, but i don't seem to be able to find the option to start or join a multiplayer game in the version of the ultimate doom that is bundled with the doom 3 bfg edition..
The co-op gameplay for doom 3 was only included with the original xbox release of doom 3. as bfg edition is based upon the original pc release, there is no online/offline cooperative play. the xbox 360 and ps3 versions of doom and doom ii feature online and splitscreen co-op supporting 2-4 players.. Single-player, multiplayer: doom 3: bfg edition is a re-release of doom 3, which was released on october 16, 2012 in north america, october 18, 2012, in australia and october 19, 2012 in europe for the microsoft windows, playstation 3, and xbox 360.. Not sure which version you're referring to, but if you mean the xbox360 release of doom 3: bfg, then there is no co-op on that either. i have the 360 version and was disappointed to see that this was the case. they did include co-op on the doom 1 and doom 2 portions, but not for the doom 3 campaigns..
